The beginner package is exactly that. For beginners! The 12 hours touch briefly on every facet of the game and includes a 9-hole on-course lesson. It provides each player just enough skill to understand a little about how wonderful this game is.

Note - Further learning is usually needed after these lessons, but it will depend on each individual’s ability as to how many lessons could be required in the future.

Golf will enhance an individual’s growth as the game tests many aspects of personal character.

Golf also enables people the ability to entertain clients and customers in a perfect setting. It also has a wonderful way of opening doors in a networking sense and will enrich every person who is willing to begin to play this extraordinary game.

Please note that all lessons include equipment. I recommend wearing clothing that is easy to swing in, and running shoes are appropriate unless you have golf shoes.

• Lesson 1: Basic Fundamentals and half swing with a 7 iron.

• Lesson 2: Continuation of the first lesson. Fundamentals and 3/4 swing. 7 iron.

• Lesson 3: Learning the full swing. 7 iron.

• Lesson 4: Understanding chipping and pitching and what clubs to use.

• Lesson 5: Understanding hybrids and fairway woods and where to use them.

• Lesson 6: The Driver and its importance in becoming a golfer.

• Lessons 7: Rules, etiquette, and golf apparel. A classroom lesson that covers what you need to know.

• Lesson 8: Golf swing recap, and also how to navigate uneven lies on the golf course.

Owned by Taiheiyo Club this driving range sits on the top floor of Omori Station and Rara shopping centre. It is 2 stops away from Shinagawa station.

Lesson 9- 12: On the course! 

Includes 2 hours of short game and 9 holes. 

Lessons 9 and 10: 2 hours. 

• Short game. 

• Putting - Etiquette, technique and the importance of putting to become a great player. 

• Bunker shots (sand). Technique and how to become a good bunker player. 

• Pitching and putting - We put into play what was learnt on the driving range. Understanding the situation and choosing the correct club for lower scores. 

Lessons 11 and 12: 9 hole on course lesson 

• The 9-hole lesson is not about playing perfect golf. It’s about understanding how golf is played and what is expected from you as a golfer. We cover rules, etiquette, speed of play, trouble shots and understanding how to play from uneven lies. We talk about how to score, the complexity of the scorecard and the importance of safety. The day of the course will help with gaining a perspective of how difficult and nuanced golf is. It will also show each player how wonderful the game is and the practise required to become a good player. 

• Once this day is completed, Joe will provide each player with his thoughts on how to proceed for the next stage of their golf. 

The schedule for the day will look something like the following (This schedule may change a little depending on the time of the year). 

• 9.45 am - Arrival and registration. 

• 10.00 am to 12.00 pm - Short game.

• 12.00 to 1 pm - Lunch

• 1.00 pm to 1.30 pm warm up at the range

• 1.30 pm - 9 hole on course lesson. This lesson is played at the end of the field, so nobody will be following. It provides a more conducive learning environment as it’s less stressful and more fun.
